Privacy Policy

This policy explains what SD Carry Services collects when you use sdcarryservices.in or the SD Carry app, why, who sees it, and the choices you have. It follows the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the Information Technology Act, 2000.

Who we are

What we collect

• When you order: your name, phone number, delivery address, the items and amounts, the shop, your notes and preferred delivery time.
• Custom requests: the details you describe and any reference photos you attach.
• Messages: what you send through the contact form, with your name and phone number.
• Reviews: your rating and comment, shown with your first name only.
• Notifications: if you turn them on, an identifier for your device so we can send to it.
• If you create an account: your name and email address from your Google profile, a Google account identifier, the phone number, delivery address and PIN code you enter, and when the account was created, last updated and last used. We do not receive your Google password, and cannot see your Gmail, contacts, Drive or anything else in your Google account.
• Searches: the words typed into the search box, without who typed them, so we know what people look for.
• Visits: Google Analytics counts visits and orders placed, using cookies. It does not tell us who you are.

Your phone also keeps some things for itself: your cart, your recent orders, the details you last ordered with and, if you are signed in, a sign-in key so you stay signed in. These stay on your device.

Why we use it

• To pass your order to the provider, deliver it, and keep you updated on it.
• To answer your messages and resolve complaints.
• To send notifications you have turned on.
• To keep records the business and the law require, and to prevent misuse.
• To understand, in totals, how the site is used and improve it.

We use your details only for these purposes. By placing an order, sending a message or turning on notifications, you consent to that use; you can withdraw consent as described below.

Who sees it

• The provider of your order, and the person delivering it, see what they need to prepare and deliver it — such as your name, phone number and address — and only for that order.
• Service providers that run the site for us: Google (where orders are stored, and Google sign-in, and Analytics), OneSignal (notifications) and Netlify (hosting the site). If you send your order on WhatsApp, WhatsApp's own terms apply to that message.
• Authorities, when the law requires it.

We do not sell your personal data or share it for advertising.

Where it is kept

Data is stored with the service providers above, whose servers may be outside India.

How long we keep it

• Orders and messages: for as long as needed to fulfil them, resolve any issue, and keep the records the business and the law require.
• Reference photos for custom requests: deleted 90 days after the request is closed.
• Your account: until you delete it. Deleting it removes your account details; your past orders stay in our records, no longer linked to you, for as long as the business needs them as set out above.

Your rights

You can ask us for a summary of the personal data we hold about you, to correct or complete it, or to erase what is no longer needed; you can withdraw your consent, and nominate someone to exercise these rights for you. If you have an account, you can correct your details or delete the account yourself from My account. To do any of this, write to the Grievance Officer (below). If you are not satisfied with our answer, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India.

Children

The site is meant for adults. If you are under 18, please ask a parent or guardian to place the order.

Security

We limit who can see order details to the people who need them, and use the security of the services above. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects you, we will tell you as the law requires.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it.
